Looking for some creative input
to provide direction for your space?

  • Fitz Haus Interior Design provides comprehensive service for remodels + new builds. Starting in the project's early conceptual stages, Fitz Haus collaborates with architects, builders, and craftspeople as the project unfolds.

The end result of Conceptual Design is a set of schematic plans clients can provide to contractors to obtain construction bids.

They typically involve a base plan of the existing space, a scaled 2D plan with detailed information, and a 3D model to provide clients and collaborators with a strong visual representation of the space. Materials, finishes, and other details may also be specified.

Additional Services for the Construction and Installation phases are also available.

  • If you don't need construction but want help with space planning, optimizing functionality and furniture selection, this service is for you.

This can encompass concept development and furniture layout followed by furniture and accessory selection and procurement. Layout and furnishings often includes but isn't limited to sourcing of furniture, lighting, antiques, artwork, window treatments, custom furniture as well as the styling of accessories.

  • Designer for a Day is a 6 hour service providing a one-on-one collaborative design session customized to help you design, shop or style your space in a short amount of time. It is followed by a comprehensive recap as well as shoppable links to create the space you dream of on your own timeline and within your budget.

“After three years of sitting at a little desk to work, crammed into the corner of a sloppy playroom, I can’t even tell you how much of a difference you’ve made. Thank you so much again.”

Design Process

From the extremes to everything in between – RELAX – you found FITZ HAUS!

I use a design framework that focuses on processes to create the best interior design experience.

You wouldn’t book a trip without an itinerary would you? {silliness!} So why would you trust your home to someone without a GAMEPLAN? I’m a type-A, list-making, OVER-communicator. Details are kinda my thing + if that’s not you then PERFECT!! I’ll be the design yin to your overwhelmed yang.

Discovery Call – We start with a 15-minute call to get to know each other, give you a quick peek at how I work, and go over project scope, budget, and desired timelines. Then, we’ll meet in-person at your home for an initial visit. You’ll show me all the ideas and spaces you want to transform, and we’ll go over any additional questions. After the initial visit, I will send over a proposal with all the details and the estimated cost of the project. Sign, sealed, delivered!

Design Vision – Let’s do this! I will send you homework {don’t panic, it’s FUN! Think questionnaires and inspo images}, followed by measurements and reviewing your homework. We will then set up a design concept meeting to go over aesthetic direction, color palette, and floor plan options before getting into materials and furniture selections.

Let’s Shop! – Next up, ordering and tracking all of the goods. I update you every other week so you’ll know exactly where your furniture and materials are at any given point in the design process.

Design Implementation – I work closely with the general contractor and sub-contractors to ensure all aspects of my design are installed and completed properly. And you already know I’ll keep you informed on progress each step of the way.

Install Day – Ta-daaa! The big day is finally here. I schedule a day {or days} to have the furniture delivered and install all styling elements to complete your final design. All that’s needed now is a big cheers to your beautiful home.

Send the invites! It’s housewarming o’clock!
